Above you will see my own drawing of the cover for the album The Division Bell, by Pink Floyd. I chose this drawing because I believe that The Division Bell is one of the most iconic and most interesting covers they had while as an active band. What stands out the most to me is the symmetry of the two faces which makes it easy to notice and take interest in. This page stands out apart from my other pages mostly because it is one of the most clean and formally balanced pieces I have done this past nine weeks. At first, I sketched out the drawing with pencil, which I then traced over with fat and skinny sharpies to hit its finer points. Once that was done, I used water colors to finish the piece off, mixing green and brown to make a more realistic field. When people see this I would think that they would notice how 'clean' it is. The colors are light and the lines are fine, due to much more hard work put into this than any other page these past nine weeks.

I decided to highlight the image above from this nine weeks because of how incredible the concept really is, and how the astronaut can just sit upon the clouds above all the confusion and darkness on the ground in the city. The many colors you see are water colors blended together at certain points to create a nice, warm, transition of the color spectrum. I feel like this page stands out from all the others mainly because of the color blend. Now I usually put a large variety of colors and images together in my other pages, but I thought that when you look at this page everything seems so smooth and warm. It isn't too crazy, but it isn't too bland either; it all flows together. When other people see this, I hope they think about escape. Escaping from the madness of the world into your own area of peace. In improvements, I would say that I have improved on how I blend colors together.
